Executive Overview
What Social Live is, who it's for, and how it makes money -in one page.

TL;DR -Social Live is a mobile app where people broadcast live video, viewers watch and chat, and viewers send paid virtual gifts that turn into real, withdrawable income for the broadcaster. The company earns a cut of every gift and every coin purchase.
Who this is for -Everyone starts here. Executives and investors can read this page alone. Product, business, and engineering readers use it as the map to everything else.
What is Social Live?
Imagine a nightclub, a talk show, and an arcade rolled into a phone app.
- A host goes live -their camera and microphone stream to anyone who joins.
- Viewers show up, watch, chat in real time, and can hop "on stage" as invited guests.
- Viewers buy coins with real money (like buying arcade tokens) and spend them on gifts -animated roses, rockets, crowns -that fly across the host's screen.
- Each gift a host receives converts into diamonds, the host's earnings, which they can cash out as real money.
That gift loop is the whole business. Everything else in the product — messaging, calls, discovery, follows, VIP membership -exists to bring people into live rooms and keep them coming back.
Why it exists
Creators want two things: an audience and a way to get paid. Social Live gives them a live stage and a built-in tipping economy, so a broadcaster can turn attention into income directly, without ads or sponsorships. Viewers get real-time entertainment and a fun, visible way to support the people they like.
How the money works (the 30-second version)
Rendering diagram…
- Coins are what viewers buy. 100 coins ≈ $1.
- Gifts are what viewers spend coins on.
- Diamonds are what hosts earn -a host keeps 25% of a gift's value; the platform and the app stores keep the rest.
- Diamonds settle after a short holding period (a refund-safety window), then the host can withdraw them as cash.
The full model -every rate, the anti-abuse rules, refunds, and payouts — lives in Business Overview.
Current stage
MVP, in production. The core loop (go live, watch, gift, earn, cash out) works end to end on iOS and Android. A creator program (host tiers, talent agencies, quotas, and richer payout options) is designed and partially built -see Creator Program.
Who uses it
| Audience | What they do |
|---|---|
| Hosts / creators | Broadcast, entertain, earn from gifts |
| Viewers | Watch, chat, send gifts, buy coins |
| Agencies | Recruit and manage rosters of hosts (planned) |
| Moderators / operators | Keep the platform safe, handle reports, run payouts |
The four surfaces
Social Live is not one app -it's four programs that talk to one backend:
| Surface | Who uses it | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile app | Hosts & viewers | The Flutter app on iOS and Android |
| Backend API | (everything) | The brain -business logic, data, realtime, media |
| Admin portal | Operators | A web dashboard for users, reports, revenue, payouts |
| Live-room simulator | QA / engineers | A web console to test live rooms without a phone |
